The Night Safe Champion is a new role designed to address the safety concerns faced by customers and staff in late-night venues. The role has been created in response to the challenges faced by communities and is aimed at restoring their confidence.

The Night Safe Champion will act as a point of contact and provide support, guidance, and assistance to customers, staff, security, and regulators in the night-time environment. The role has been designed to ensure that people receive the support they need when they are most vulnerable. By addressing the safety concerns, the Night Safe Champion will help to create a safer and more supportive environment for everyone.

Night Safe Champion Welfare Engagement Officer Training

Night Safe Champion Training equips you to advocate for safety in the night time economy. Learn to promote a secure, inclusive nightlife, ensuring well-being for all. This course covers key responsibilities and practical tools for a safer night time experience.

1. Understanding the Night Time Economy

Participants will gain insights into the dynamics of the night time economy, exploring the unique challenges and opportunities it presents in terms of welfare and safety.

2. Role of a Night Safe Champion

The course delves into the responsibilities and duties of Night Safe Champions, emphasising the importance of effective communication, observation, and conflict resolution skills.

3. Safeguarding Vulnerable Individuals

Participants will learn how to identify and support vulnerable individuals in nightlife settings, including those affected by substance misuse, mental health issues, or personal distress.

4. Conflict De-escalation Techniques
